I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
